“The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing”

- Socrates

Coen is a sophomore at Ohio University and a current Head Analyst in the Ohio University Student Equity Management Group (OUSEMG). He is a motivated Finance and Data Analytics major from Marietta, Ohio, with a strong passion for equity research, investment strategy, and fundamental analysis. Through OUSEMG, Coen has grown both personally and professionally, forming strong relationships with peers and alumni while developing a solid foundation in financial modeling, valuation, and portfolio management. He values the collaborative and innovative environment that OUSEMG fosters, which consistently pushes him to refine both his technical and soft skills. As Head Analyst, Coen takes pride in mentoring younger members, encouraging disciplined critical thinking, and helping guide the team toward measurable research and portfolio performance outcomes.

Beyond OUSEMG, Coen is actively pursuing a career in investment banking, with a strong interest in the healthcare and financial services sectors. He holds certifications in Wall Street Prep and Bloomberg Market Concepts and is focused on continuing to master financial technicals while expanding his professional network. This summer, Coen will be interning at Sycamore Capital, where he will perform equity research on small-mid cap companies, gaining hands-on experience in security analysis, valuation work, and investment thesis development.

Outside of academics and finance, Coen’s interests are centered on activities that reflect discipline, endurance, and attention to detail. He enjoys hiking rim trails, particularly routes that offer sustained elevation changes and expansive views, and values the mental clarity and problem-solving perspective that long hikes provide. Coen is also an avid Ohio State football fan and closely follows the program each season, regularly watching games and tracking roster and performance developments.

Coen is deeply involved with the Mid-Ohio Valley Alzheimer’s Association in honor of his late grandfather. His involvement includes assisting with the setup and execution of the organization’s annual Alzheimer’s Walk, serving on the board to help foster community engagement, organizing school-based fundraisers, and speaking at multiple events to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on families. Through these efforts, Coen is committed to strengthening community support and increasing awareness for Alzheimer’s research, with the long-term hope that continued innovation and funding will lead to improved treatment and prevention.
