Michael is a Senior studying Finance and Analytics, a current analyst, and a former Head Analyst in the group. He is from Cleveland, Ohio. Michael joined the group during his first semester at Ohio University and cites OUSEMG as a foundational pillar of his learning and professional development throughout his time at the university. Michael has a strong passion for equity research and analysis and has enjoyed learning from his peers and mentors while forming meaningful friendships with fellow group members. He strives to be a detail-oriented example to others, help as many people as possible, and continuously grow as both a professional and a person.

Outside of the group, Michael has various passions. He is deeply connected to his Slovenian heritage and is an active member of the Cleveland community, which hosts the largest Slovenian population in the United States. Michael volunteers for a week every summer at Camp Pristava, a camp in Northeast Ohio for Slovenian children. He is also an avid Cleveland and Ohio State sports fan. Most importantly, Michael values his friends and family. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, watching sports, playing Xbox, and watching shows such as Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders.

Professionally, Michael is seeking a career in wealth management. He gained hands-on experience through a summer financial planning internship with Ameriprise Financial, where he developed practical skills in client-focused financial planning and further strengthened his interest in the field. Michael enjoys the client interaction that wealth management provides along with meaningful market exposure. He hopes to work for a firm that encourages continuous learning and professional growth. Michael is excited about the future and is grateful to OUSEMG and his peers for helping set him up for success in his career.
