Nate Highland is a sophomore analyst in the Ohio University Student Equity Management Group (OUSEMG) from Columbus, Ohio. He is double-majoring in Finance and Business Analytics and hopes to graduate a semester early. He joined the group in the spring of his freshman year, where he credits the mentorship he received to his current knowledge. With a strong interest in portfolio management, Nate is grateful for the opportunities OUSEMG provides and continues to cultivate strong relationships while growing personally and professionally.

Outside of OUSEMG, Nate serves as VP of Relations for the Financial Management Association. In this role, he connects Ohio University students interested in finance with alumni and industry professionals, strengthening his networking and interpersonal skills. He also serves on the executive board as the Treasurer for his fraternity. Nate attributes his drive to his time before Ohio University, where he was the captain of his high school hockey and soccer team.

In his free time, Nate enjoys following Chicago sports, listening to country music, working out, and spending quality time with friends and family. His favorite pastime is live music, whether at Ohio Stadium or a local venue. He looks forward to continuing to broaden his business knowledge and perfecting a more professional email sign-off than “Best.”
